This morning I was asked the funniest question…a little girl at school looked at me with big eyes and a strange look on her face, pointed at the big spot that has appeared on my chin and very quietly and with a little hint of worry in her voice asked,
Are you turning into a witch?
I couldn’t laugh, as that would have just been mean, so instead I asked her why she thought that I may turn into a witch. She told me very seriously that all the bad witches in stories have big boils on their chins and that I was getting one too!!!
‘Oh!’ I said, ‘So does that mean that I might get green hair?’ She thought about this for a moment and then said, ‘I think so’. I told her that she should keep an eye on me then!
At this point a few other little girls came over to us and she began to tell them her theory. They all agreed, but one said that I might be turning into a good witch. I asked how they differ.
Well! A good witch has nice coloured hair…um, she sparkles…and she only does nice spells.
Lets hope that i am turning into a good witch!
