I am broken

Saturday was going extremely well; I was at Lavenham, a vintage VW show (that only happens every four years), it was sunny and I was getting some amazing photos…and then I went to Sheffield and I got my freak on…cue the ‘exhibitionist’ in me entering left of stage to show off in front of an audience on a trampoline…I spent that evening dancing and singing and generally being a normal 26 year old with her friends…who hadn’t realised that she’d hurt herself!

On Sunday I woke up with a killer shoulder and unable to move my right arm, clearly not brilliant. After having a difficult shower I moaned about my shoulder and was met with little sympathy and told to ‘man-up’.
When I went downstairs for breakfast it turned out that someone had gone to A & E in an ambulance with a swollen neck and dodgy feeling in one side, clearly this trumps a sore shoulder, so I ignored my pain and carried on with my day. Most of which was spent uncomfortable and sore, but knowing that someone else had probably broken their neck and I had a sore shoulder, I didn’t mention it again.

After a four hour Beetle drive home being battered and shaken I felt slightly worse, but went to bed and ignored it again.

Getting up this morning for work, and feeling 200% worse, I went into work, fully unable to dress myself. My boss, Chris, told me to go to hospital and get checked out as I was clearly in a lot of pain! I decided to make the least sympathetic boyfriend EVER drive me to A&E. All the way there he moaned. Then we needed to park, and he moaned. So I left him to it following a good old shout and went into the hospital. After seeing the Triage nurse who poked an prodded me and thought that i’d probably strained or sprained a muscle, I was sent for an X-Ray just incase…cue another moaning session!

WELL…would you believe it, I have actually broken my shoulder socket and have lots of tiny splintered bits floating around the joint 😦
