It has been very overcast here today. I chose to stay at Patnem Beach for the morning and then venture out on the moped for the afternoon. I went to Agonda Beach where I managed to find an abandoned hotel!
The story goes that it was to be the biggest and poshest 7* hotel in the South of Goa, with money being plied into it from various different places, however the main man who was working on the project (i’m not sure if this was the main designer or the main man with the money) was assassinated. The main structure is still there. It would have been a huge hotel with a helipad and large apartments, with a huge balcony area and swimming pool. All of which are still there in their various states of ruin.
There were never any windows or doors put in to the concrete, and you can see all of the parts still waiting to be put into the main frame. It seems really sad to me that 22 years on and it’s still not been used for anything. It would have been amazing!

After the urbexing (because apparently that’s what it’s called when you get into an abandoned building) I walked along the beach next to the abandoned hotel. It was lovely! A long row of brightly coloured beach huts lined the shoreline. There was no-one around…other than the fisherman.
