So today I have not done much…just sunbathing really!
I thought that I would like to have a beach day for my birthday. It was either that or a travelling day and I really didn’t want to be lugging my backpack around with me on my birthday!
So I ate breakfast and then spent most of the rest of the day on a sun lounger on the beach. I did try to do a spot of fish watching, or sort-of-snorkeling with only the goggle bit, but the sea was a bit too sandy and murky to actually see anything.
I lost my last remaining headband today, which has annoyed me a little. That will be three headbands that have been lost to the sea since I have been in India and I actually made this one myself…boo hoo 😦
After dinner and drinks (oooh don’t I sound posh) I ventured into Benaulim to get a piece of Birthday Cake (well lemon cake) from the German Bakery.
Next was Baskin Robins for a delicious Ice Cream and then to the internet cafe. I managed a good 30 minutes before the internet cafe owner told me that they were closing. I did get to Skype my parents and email Ems before I got kicked out.
Tomorrow I move on to Panjim, the capital of Goa 🙂
