Derby rotten scoundrel
This week I went to the Richter City Roller Derby Grand Final between Comic Slams and Smash Malice. There are three teams in the Richter City Roller Derby League:- Smash Malice- Comic Slams- Brutal Pageant Most of the bouts were fairly evenly matched, with both teams giving as good as they could. Some of theContinueContinue reading “Derby rotten scoundrel”
Bike outing No.2
Last week I bought myself a new bicycle with Birthday money (thanks mum and dad), but it was a little intimidating to ride because it’s a lot bigger than my last bike and it’s got funny handlebars…well today I ventured out and I feel a little more confident. Which has meant that I had a lot moreContinueContinue reading “Bike outing No.2”
Birthday bicycle
As it was my birthday this week I was lucky enough to have a few extra dollars floating around in my bank account. I had a long think about what I would like to get with the money and came up with only one realistic option: a bicycle. Having a good trawl through the internetContinueContinue reading “Birthday bicycle”
My Birthday
A friend asked me the other day, “Why do you get excited about birthdays when you’ve almost had 30 of them?” At the time I laughed but now I have had a think about it I wonder what it is about getting older that makes us less excited about our Birthdays? Roller Skating
I thought that I should probably get out on my skates as much as possible now that they have been delivered to me and because I want to get my moneys worth. So I decided that i’d run my errands today on skates. I managed the stairs all by myself and got out of theContinueContinue reading “Roller Skating”
In quad we trust
My skates arrived! The lovely Kate delivered them to me at work and I unpacked them in the office with a massive smile on my face, quickly inserting the laces and putting them on. I continued to wear them for the rest of the day under my desk…I think my work colleagues think i’m aContinueContinue reading “In quad we trust”
Mt. Victoria Lookout
Today I ventured out to the Mount Victoria lookout point. It has taken far too long to get around to walking to the top, but today was EPIC! I walked to the lookout and on the way back home I got chips and ate them on the waterfront!
…earth moving news…
As it turns out the Earthquakes did not stop Sunday morning…oh no they continued to rock New Zealand for a good long while. We have been having short rumbles since Friday morning and they don’t seem to be easing off at all! In the last week Wellington has had 55 Earthquakes that have rated higherContinueContinue reading “…earth moving news…”
I felt the earth move under my feet…
There is some crazy Seismic Activity going down on the Cook Strait this morning. Wellington has had more Earthquakes… I was woken this morning to my little room rocking around me and was quick to get under the table. I must have looked hilarious…the table is tiny so it’s not really going to do much. TheContinueContinue reading “I felt the earth move under my feet…”
