Cambodia: Phnom Penh

The day begun getting onto what can only be described as the worlds smallest mini-bus, mainly described this way because nobody from ‘Golden Bayon Bus Company’ has thought to invest in a roof rack, so I have literally as one with my luggage all the way from Shianoukville!

I arrived in Phnom Penh at about 12 noon and checked into the hotel: The NaNa Hotel. I booked a simple double room with air con (woop woop), a television and, get this, HOT WATER! I rested in the room watching very bad television for a few hours and then decided to see what the nearby Shopping Mall had to offer…after a short detour of going to the wrong (and may a hasten to ad, decidedly dodgy) Mall, I eventually found the correct one and had a mooch around, Cambodian style.

I ventured to the food court and managed to find many Western foods…i was a little surprised to find kelloggs cereal and Maoam sweeties 🙂
