After a very long night of travelling, first by Train from Bangkok to Chumphon, then by bus from Chumphon to the coast and finally by boat to the island, I arrived in Koh Tao.
The journey really tired me out and I wasn’t feeling too bright, so the first thing that I did upon arriving in the hotel was sleep! After a power nap I ventured to the beach…well the island really is mostly all beach, but what a lovely beach it is!
I booked to stay in a little guesthouse near to the beach as this is cheaper than beach side, as it’s not actually on the beach but still near enough to be able to just walk over to it. It’s very pleasant and each room has a little section outside with a table and a washing line.
