We began Christmas with a huge food spread, yesterday, courtesy of Blayne and Lisa. There was sooooo much food. There were so many different types of cheese, crackers and spreads and I think I might have eaten my entire body weight in cheese!

Christmas morning I was told – in no uncertain terms – not to wake James up before 8am…so of course I woke up at 5am…at 5.45am…at 6am…at 6.55am…at 7.30am…and then again at 7.45am…at which point I just laid in bed until James’s alarm went off.
We started with a cup of tea and our stockings and then once we’d opened everything in our stockings, we chilled out for a little while and got dressed and ate food.
The cats had a great time playing with all of the paper and discarded wrapping.

After playing with our presents for a little while, we went off to be fed and watered at Tim and Roz’s house in Eastbourne. Dinner was lovely, a roast leg of lamb with mashed potato and then steamed vegetables, followed by meringue and strawberries and chocolate sauce (which I managed to mess up because I ladled chocolate sauce into my meringue, only to find that it had no bottom!).

Christmas Afternoon we went back to James’s for a bbq with his housemate and his housemates family (here from Chilie), however, we’d got a bit mixed up and no-one turned up! As it turned out, we had got the wrong day…never mind, it was still a lovely day 🙂
