This year for Christmas I went home ๐
It was lovely to see my parents and my family, and it was lovely to see my parents new house. But it was cold! I had forgotten how cold England is!
James and I flew to London via Singapore. We stopped off for showers and food and I have to say it’s one of the nicer airports to be transferring through. It’s huge, with loads of expensive shops! The flights themselves were average. Nothing bad, nothing fantastic. We arrived into Heathrow and my parents were there to greet us ๐ It was lovely to see them after so long.
When we got back to Hemel Hempstead and James and I had dropped off our bags, my parents treated us to breakfast at a lovely cafe up the road called Bentley’s. It was so nice to have proper food after all of the airplane food of the last two days!
Throughout the visit I went shopping in London, went shopping in Hemel, and went shopping in Gunwhaf Quays (are you seeing a pattern here…). I watched a game of rugby in London, sat on some cool old motorcycles, and saw the family. I had Christmas and New Year with my parents and laughed more with them than I think I ever have. It was lovely!

Rugby
While I was home, Dad, Emma and I got the bus to watch the Saracens play rugby at Alliance Park. It was absolutely freezing so I had to borrow one of my mum’s coats! At first I was a bit annoyed that I hadn’t brought a larger, thicker coat with me, but actually mum’s was perfect as I was able to wear a few layers underneath.
We won. Yay.
Emma and I bought a grey hoodie each. We actually bought the exact same one! As i live the opposite side of the planet, I doubt it’ll be an issue ๐

Family gathering
As I was home for the festive season, Emma’s parents invited everyone over to their house to have a bit of a family get together in my honor! Woohoo, i’m a celebrity. It was nice to see everyone, but I ate WAY too much and spent the night feeling rather sick!
Whilst at Emma’s parents house, her dad let me have a sit on his cool old motorbike!
The silver bike is a Royal Enfield from 1954. He has been fixing it up for pretty much my entire life. I can remember being a very small child and him working on it in my nanny’s shed.
The red one is a BSA from the 80’s I believe.

Cards Against Humanity
Mum, Dad, Emma and I played CAH two nights in a row. I don’t think i’ve ever laughed so much with my parents. We were crying!
I thought my parents would hate it but they really got stuck in!
…and here are the rest of the images from the holidays ๐
