Today James proposed. Of course I said YES!
We had spent the day pottering about in the house, running errands and just generally existing in the house together. It was a lovely day. We achieved a lot and had fun doing it.
We ate fajitas, which we hadn’t eaten in a while and were just drinking cocktails when James jumped up and went off out of the kitchen. He returned with a box, all wrapped up.
I opened the present, wrapped in lovely wrapping paper but stuck with green masking tape. Ha! Inside I found a multi-tool…something I’ve been talking about buying for a while now, and an envelope.
Inside the envelope was a card.
The card was one wishing me happiness in my new home, and inside read:
I couldn’t think of anyone I would rather do this with.
Plus, we should probably get married.
…and out fell a ring!
I was a little shocked because I wasn’t expecting it at all!
I said ‘OMG, yes!’ Straight away.
The ring is gorgeous. It’s made of palladium, with a pink sapphire and 10 pink diamonds set on either side around it (yes, 20 pink diamonds).
I’m currently floating on a big cloud of happiness!
