Today James and I drove to Staglands, a local wild animal park, and collected a new chicken. We thought that Ziltoid probably needed (wanted) a little friend. Staglands had an advert for baby silkies (Ziltoid is a Silkie).
When we got to Staglands we weren’t sure what sort of colour the chickens would be, so I couldn’t come up with a name straight away. When we got there, we found that all of the silkies were white.
My favourite book by my favourite author is Adorkable, by Sarra Manning. The main character is called Jeane Smith and she has bleached white hair…therefore I felt it only necessary to call my newest chicken Jeane Smith.
