Things I am loving this week

I have had a busy week. My brain cogs have been working away. I think I’m really getting into the swing of the new job. I think.

The garden is now a waiting game…waiting to see how the grass seed grows and waiting to see if the drainage situation has been fixed. The rain is not helping.

Things I am loving this week:

  • Ring lights
  • Pukka Tea
  • New bras
  • Making/Editing videos

In order to try and get a better lighting situation for my photos, I bought a set of ring lights. They’re from K-Mart.

One is a 10 inch ring and the other is an 18 inch ring. Both have three light settings;
– really sort of blue and aggressive,
– middle of the road average bright light, and
– really nice more-sort-of-orangey soft light.

They both come with bluetooth remotes and a mobile phone holder (as well as the camera bits) but I’m not sure I’ll use those…so far I have used them with my camera to light up the dogs, and to light up myself, but not much else, but I really like the light that they provide. I’m hoping to be able to improve my photography (and videos) with them.

I’ve really been into Pukka tea this week.

I saw that they have a large range of flavours and wanted to branch out from simply drinking English Breakfast tea all of the time. I found Vanilla Chai, which is caffeine free and tastes like it’s warming me up from the inside out. I have it with a teaspoon of sugar. It tastes lovely both hot and after I’ve left it to go cold ๐Ÿ˜‰

I bought two lovely nice soft bras, again from K-Mart.

I saw some really nice bras online from Organic Basics, however I simply cannot afford them. While I was shopping in K-Mart I noticed one or two bras that looked deceptively similar, so I wanted to try a few on. Due to the Wellington region (and most of the North Island) being in Level 2 lockdown still, the changing rooms weren’t open, so I just picked a few that I thought might fit and went home to try them on.

However, hilariously, once I had got them home and tried them on, I realised they’re actually meant to be maternity bras. I don’t care though, as they’re just nice and soft and comfy. I’m not actually sure what makes them constitute as maternity bras…they just feel like soft croptop or bralette style bras.

They’re super soft.

I may go back and buy the matching knickers…

I have been making/editing videos again. This time it’s James having a relaxing sheet mask. Obviously I know that my video editing skills are not that flash, but I am having fun trying.

Face masks…
