This week I have been really focussed on taking photos and getting experience, as well as researching new and interesting ways to get the photos that I’d like.
Things I am loving this week:
- Photography videos on YouTube.
- Adobe Creative Cloud tutorials.
In order to try and get a better understanding of all of those cool little photography skills that I need for taking great photos, I have been watching a LOT of YouTube videos.
My favourite people/channels so far are:
Adobe Creative Cloud tutorials.
As the next course in the Diploma that I’m studying is a Post-Production course, I thought I’d get into it sooner rather than later. I have no knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom really. I’ve successfully managed to navigate away from Adobe for my entire career. Thats no mean feat considering that I studied Product Design for my Undergraduate Degree, Secondary Design Teaching for my Post Graduate, I was a D&T (Design and Technology) teacher for six years, and because I’m a Learning Designer…
But now I will need to bite the bullet and learn.
I’m not entirely sure why I’m so scared of Photoshop. I think because it seems unnecessarily complicated. Also because I’m not getting into photography to play around with image manipulation in that sense. I want to be a photographer that takes amazing photos that haven’t been edited, or ‘fixed’.
Does that make me a bit of a purist?!
Adobe has a channel, Adobe Creative Cloud that have a lot of videos
