Things I am loving this week

Another busy week – but life is chilling out a little as we begin the lead up to Christmas.

Things I am loving this week:

  • Crafternoons
  • Dinner with friends

Crafternoons with friends and new friends are fun!

Georgette hosted a few of us at her house. There was tea and cake and it was lovely. I took my crochet and managed to get a few more granny squares completed.

My granny square blanket is going to be huge though! I had initially planned to make it baby sized, so roughly 90cm x 100cm. However, it’s going to be more like a picnic blanket. I bought two balls of each colour that I liked and didn’t actually do the maths around how much blanket I’d get for the amount of yarn…I didn’t work it out very well!

Anyway, I’m not going to worry about that, I’ve ended up with much more blanket than I thought, so I see this as a positive.

Dinner with friends is always fun ๐Ÿ™‚

I went out with a few work friends for dinner on Thursday. We went to Mexico in Petone and it was very tasty. I always leave there feeling very full!

It was really nice to get out of work with people and just let our hair down a bit.

One of my friends I have known for a few years now and we’re close at work. The other two are newer and I have known them for less than a year. We all seem to get on well though, which is nice.

I do find it incredibly stressful meeting new people as an adult. I go into most situations thinking, “Please like me!” and hoping that they don’t think I’m a bit odd! Hahaha.
