Things I am loving this last few weeks:
- Power Class and PT at CityFitness
- Spa days
- Our new car!
I recently joined the gym again, so I’m back into the swing of trying to be a bit healthier. One thing I have found that I love is the Power class. It’s a group fitness class using dumbbells and barbells, as well as hand weights and a little bit of cardio. It’s a rally good class and usually easy enough to pick up if you’ve had a bit of a break from fitness. I really like that it gets my entire body moving.
Alongside the gym and Power class I have signed up to PT sessions. I do 45 minutes once a week with my personal trainer and it’s really fun. He has me using machines and doing exercises that I wouldn’t generally do in the gym on my own, so it’s a real kick up the bum!
I’m feeling quite invigorated with it all at the moment – I’m determined to become healthier. It’s not about a diet or a fad, it’s a change in my lifestyle to get healthier and feel better long term.
For my Kriskringle this year, I received a spa voucher (lovely!). I decided to use it the day I got my braces on. I thought that as I’d be having a potentially stressful afternoon, I’d get a treat earlier on in the day to compensate!
The voucher was for a local spa, BodyHaven, for their Tranquil Package. This allowed me to choose three treatments from the following list:
- Back, Neck and Shoulders Massage
- Thirst Quencher Facial
- Everything Eyes (lash tint, brow shape and tint
- Mini Manicure
- Mini Pedicure
I went for the back, neck and shoulders massage, the facial, and the everything eyes. It was lovely!
James and I bought a new car!
I have always wanted a cute little car…and now I have what I call the ‘Goth Barbie Jeep’. It is very basic, a proper 4×4, but sure is amazingly fun to drive!
