This term I have studied Photoshop. I can’t say I’m happy about it. I have spent the best part of my career trying to avoid it. However, I have created some interesting pieces of work and I thought that I would share those with you.
Discussion Board Submissions
The course is set up so that each week there are learning materials to follow along with. These can be resources to read, or activities to do, but most weeks end with a discussion board submission.
These images are all very different, but they all focus on either creating a better image from one that is too dark or too light, touching up the skin on an image, or adding in things that weren’t there before. With the lady and car, they were two very separate images added together to make one, and the image of James was touched up for the purpose of learning how to edit skin.
NOTE: All images are taken from the course materials except the following images, which are my own:
– misty B&W landscape
– the pink tinted roller skaters
– James smiling at the camera
Here are mine:

Assignment Submissions
As well as the discussion boards, there are assignments that have to be submitted.
The editing is much the same as the discussion boards; lighten, darken, or neaten an image, or add things in that weren’t there to begin with!
NOTE: All images are taken from the course materials except the following images, which are my own:
– the cactus (and it’s shadow) in the icy landscape
– me in front of an Indian style building
Here are mine.
