Things I am loving this month: September

Things I am loving this last few weeks:

  • Photographing Remutaka Roller Derby
  • Les Miserables at the St. James Theatre in Wellington
  • Studio Sasada Concert at the Little Theatre in Lower Hutt
  • Aston Norwood at night

Phew, what a busy month!!!

Photographing Remutaka Roller Derby

As I’m trying to get as much photography practice in as possible, I leapt at the change to take photos at the most recent Roller Derby bout between my local team, Remutaka Roller Derby, and Swamp City Roller Derby, from Palmerston North.

You can see my full post at Photography: Remutaka Roller Derby.

Les Miserables at the St. James Theatre in Wellington

As James has been working on the update of the St. James Theatre, he was keen to get us in to watch a show. Les Miserables is one of his favourites, so it seemed silly to not go.

It was phenomenal!

Studio Sasada Concert at the Little Theatre in Lower Hutt

I have been getting drumming lessons for almost two years now, so I thought it was about time that I actually take part in a student showcase.

I performed ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac with a band that the studio put together

Aston Norwood at night

At the moment the Aston Norwood gardens are holding their blossom events. Basically every year the gardens go simply berserk with blossom. It’s absolutely gorgeous and this year I went with James in the evening. It was even better in the dark because they light up the trees and it’s rally atmospheric.
