Things I am loving this last few weeks:
- Big Bang Adventure Race
- Adulting two 13 year olds for an entire weekend
- Auckland
Big Bang Adventure Race
As James and I have been doing the Dirt Duathlons, we thought we’d go for the big one next: The Big Bang Adventure Race!
It’s a longer race than what we’re used to, with multiple legs of each discipline; mountain biking, hiking and navigation, as well as completing a mystery water activity. It was LONG. It was HARD. But we gave it our best and we had fun!
You can read my full post on it HERE.
Babysitting
As my friend Roz was away and the men wanted to go hiking, I offered to look after the teenagers for the weekend. It was fun! We played D&D, we watched a LOT of tv and we ate a lot of pizza!
Auckland!
I have been saving money for month and months…and I finally got to go on an actual shopping trip. I bought mostly clothes for work, but it was a fun trip and I got to see quite a bit of Auckland.
I arrived on the Thursday and returned home on the Sunday. It was my first time flying since Covid, so I was a little nervous…i’m not sure why…but I was.
My Air B’n’B was just outside of the main area, so I got a lot of walking in over the weekend! As I visited the new Commercial Bay shopping area, Sylvia Park, Newmarket, and K-Road. I did a LOT of shopping.
…and one thing i’m not loving…
I sprained my ankle trying to complete the Big Bang Adventure Race and it was horrible! I had to be Land, Search and Rescue-d out of the bush
