This morning was muggy and I was literally dripping with sweat even before the run had began – however, I managed to get through the entire 5km by doing a sort of walk/run interval thing.
I did splits of 2:00 mins / 0:30 secs – So, 2 minutes of running/jogging, and then 30 seconds of walking/resting.
The interval training/running worked really well, and by the end I had a time that was pretty much back to my normal (pre-Covid/pre-long break away from running) time: 37 mins 39 secs – which was actually faster than James…just saying…
