The IronMan Diaries: 3

Whilst everyone else was swimming, I ran. I ran for 10 minutes in one direction and then turned around and ran 10 minutes along the same route to ensure that I got back at the correct time.

Then, as a group, we cycled from Petone foreshore to the bottom of Korokoro Hill. Our coach gave us a quick brief and then we got straight into reps up the hill. I managed to get up the hill twice…which is actually okay for my first time trying this. I think.

Then it was a 5km run. Fun.

I even bought a new hat.

Here are the numbers:

  • 3.08km run in 20 mins 14 secs
  • 6.58km cycle in 36 mins 51 secs
  • 5.16km run in 37 mins 06 secs
