This has been a long time coming…but I finally took the plunge and invested in a new, correctly sized bag. I have handbags. I have a camera bag. I also have tote bags coming out of the yin-yan. But I have been looking for a better bag, you might say the holy grail of bags;ContinueContinue reading “The Mini Evermore bag”

Freedom!
Short post…but today I had my plaster cast removed 🙂 Woohoo. Back to physio I go. I honestly forget every time I get a cast, how horrible they feel after a few weeks. This time was no exception. I won’t go into details, but it was not pleasant. Oh no! After six (ish) weeks inContinueContinue reading “Freedom!”
…not just a scaphoid fracture…
This morning I had an appointment with the Fracture Clinic at the hospital. They began with removing the plaster cast, which on the whole wasn’t terrible, but then they sent me down to X-ray and X-rayed the wrist again. I cried. I didn’t cry because it was being X-rayed, I cried because in order toContinueContinue reading “…not just a scaphoid fracture…”
Painting the deck
After I slid on the deck and broke my scaphoid, James and I cleaned and re-paint it. As I have a plaster cast on, and can’t really grip much, James has done most of the hard work…but I had to help paint it…
Capybara experience
As it’s my birthday in a few days, James bought me a capybara experience at the zoo! If you don’t know what a capybara is, they’re basically a giant guinea pig. They are the biggest rodent in the world, and they come from South America. Wikipedia has an informative page on them. Anyway, we wentContinueContinue reading “Capybara experience”
A broken scaphoid
After work yesterday, James and I were about to go for a run when I slipped over and fell on the front deck. My left leg slid out from under me, and my right leg got bent up under me and I cracked my shin on the edge of the step, sort of bouncing andContinueContinue reading “A broken scaphoid”
Gardening and landscaping
Today we landscaped part of the garden. I’m super impressed with our attempt, as I wasn’t sure that it would turn out as well. We took a part of the garden that was just grassy and overgrown, with small trenches dug out and lots of weeds, and mulched it with the excess mulch from theContinueContinue reading “Gardening and landscaping”
Wedding practice hair
Today I had the day off of work in order to get my hair done properly at the hairdressers. I would usually bleach and dye my hair myself, but seeing as I would like to make sure that my hair looks perfect for my wedding, I decided to go and get it done properly. BelowContinueContinue reading “Wedding practice hair”
Kapiti Beach Walk
Today we took Herman to the Kapiti Coast and it was lovely! We began the day with a café break and then wandered along the beach and took some photos.
Gardening
James decided that we needed to mulch the front yard today. He decided quite late in the day, which meant that we rushed to get the mulch off the trailer and get it back to the shop! It was a real workout. We bought WAY too much mulch! https://videopress.com/v/DtO6PXFk?resizeToParent=true&preloadContent=metadata James works against the clock…
